Scuba Diver reveals why she would never get in the water with dolphins

A professional scuba diver took to TikTok to explain why she would never get in the water with dolphins, seemingly suggesting the aquatic mammals are more dangerous than their cheeky smiles suggest.

In the animal kingdom, there are some creatures that we instantly designate as dangerous due to their venom, sharp teeth, or killer instincts. But, some seemingly safe animals are actually harboring worse attitudes than even the toothiest critters mother nature can pop out. As it turns out, dolphins might be the worst of the lot.

Earlier in the week, Knot Impressed (@knot_impressed) posted a video on TikTok that illustrated why she would never go diving with dolphins, earning her nearly 80k likes.

She said: “I should probably explain myself as a scuba diver who refuses to spend any time in the water with dolphins because I don’t think it is safe. The reason I am terrified of them is myriad, but the issue with dolphins and with this app is that there are a lot of words that will get you flagged.”

Knot Impressed was essentially concerned that her videos would be silenced or removed if she spoke about the crimes of dolphins so openly. Don’t worry, it’s because the acts themselves are horrid and not because there is a secret dolphin conspiracy involving the internet.

Alongside a plethora of screenshots showing dolphin attack headlines, Knot Impressed explained that the mammals are exceptional hunters with incredible communication skills.

“They also engaged in ‘play’ which can be quite injurious to someone who doesn’t breath the thing they are in,” she said.

Unfortunately, the chaos does not stop there as the content creator soon explained that dolphins are partial to the occasional sex crime, sometimes across species.

“So basically what I am saying is, take all of the worst actions committed by the worst parts of humanity and assume that the worst parts of ‘Dolphin-manity’ also do those things,” she added.

Most TikTok users were completely shocked to learn the truth about dolphins, with some even suggesting that their crimes should be more publically available.

One person wrote: “Dolphins are intelligent enough to know that their actions cause harm, and they do them anyway – just watched a marine bio grad talking about why the field hates dolphins.”

“Realistically dolphins have a great public relations team that has made the general public love and trust them,” another person said.

A third wrote: “We went swimming with dolphins in Honduras and honestly, it was terrifying. A young one was obsessed with me and would not leave me alone. They’re wild animals though.”
