Founding Professional Membership is a limited campaign membership for dive professionals and diving-industry contributors who want to help build the long-term foundation of the International Association of Dive Professionals.

This membership is intended for working dive professionals, instructors, dive guides, dive centre staff, captains, commercial divers, scientific divers, underwater media professionals, equipment technicians, manufacturers, operators, consultants, and other professionals whose work or income is connected to the diving sector.

As a Founding Professional Member, you become part of the first professional membership campaign of the renewed IADP platform. Your support helps build independent representation, stronger professional recognition, ethical standards, better communication, and long-term sustainability across the global diving industry.

• Scuba instructors, trainers, dive guides, divemasters, and dive leaders
• Dive centre owners, managers, staff, and freelance professionals
• Commercial, scientific, media, technical, and public safety diving professionals
• Captains, boat crew, compressor operators, equipment technicians, and operational support staff
• Manufacturers, service providers, consultants, and industry contributors
• Professionals who want to support an independent global voice for the diving sector

What Founding Professional Membership means

• You become part of the first professional membership campaign of the renewed IADP platform.
• You receive Professional Member status within TheDiveProfessional.org portal for two years.
• You support IADP’s development of representation, communication, projects, and member services.
• You retain Founding Professional recognition as part of your membership history.
• You help establish the professional base from which the IADP can grow internationally.

Membership fee

€100 for two years.

Founding Professional Membership is valid for two years from the date of registration. After the founding period, renewal will continue under the normal Professional Membership structure.

Campaign period

Founding Professional Membership is available until 31 August 2026.

After this date, the founding campaign plan will close for new registrations, while existing members keep their membership record and founding recognition.
