Technology continues to change the way people access information and learn. PSS Worldwide recognized the value of incorporating technology into the dive education process and was the cornerstone of their entrance into the dive market. Founded by instructors who understood the need for flexibility and innovation in dive training, PSS Worldwide designed the first complete digital training platform both divers and instructors.
EVO, a name derived from evolution, indeed changed the way training agencies offer their programs to divers. Today, almost all training agencies have some form of e-learning available. However, being the first has allowed PSS Worldwide the ability grow, observe, and adapt its platform to ensure it is one of the most comprehensive in the industry.
“Whether it is a corrective session or a virtual classroom, instructors are fully immersed in the training of their students with EVO,” said Giuseppe Minopoli, President, PSS Worldwide. “Instructors can organize and arrange lessons, validate dives, order material or download a complete pdf training report, in addition to a variety of other features and actions designed to make EVO a complete education and training system.”
EVO even makes referrals a breeze as you can transfer your students to another instructor for one or more lessons. In addition, instructors have continuous control of the complete didactic path of the course from theory, confined water or open water.
“We led the e-learning evolution in dive training, but we do not believe that alleviates or eliminates the need for instructor-student interaction during the learning process,” added Minopoli. “Our system was designed to make learning a collaborative not a directive process.”
DEMA attendees are encouraged to attend one of the two informational sessions scheduled at DEMA on either Wednesday, November 13 at 3:00 PM, in room W304A, or Friday, November 15, at 11:00 AM in room W304D.
