PADI® 2018 Elite Instructors have the opportunity to win prizes by doing what they love to do – transforming lives by teaching people to dive – through the PADI Elite Instructor Challenge. This friendly competition challenges the world’s top performing PADI Instructors to continually grow as mentors and role models by training even more divers this year than last. Doing so can earn them the chance to win a 2020 PADI Membership Renewal (and EFR® if applicable), up to $100 US to spend on personalized PADI Gear™, plus recognition in The Undersea Journal®, on PADI social media sites and the PADI Pros’ Site.
PADI’s Elite Instructor Award recognizes dedicated PADI Instructors for their passion, hard work and ongoing efforts to introduce new divers to the underwater world and enhance the skills of experienced divers. This global recognition is awarded to PADI Instructors who issue more than 50 qualifying certifications in a calendar year. During the challenge period from 1 August to 31 October 2019, PADI Elite Instructors will compete against others in their 2018 Elite Instructor category: 50, 100, 150, 200 and 300 certifications. The 2018 Elite Instructors showing the largest percentage growth in certifications compared to the same time frame last year will win.
“The PADI Elite Instructor Award is really great because sometimes we get so caught up in work, with classes, events, etc.,” says Rocio Bunker, PADI Course Director and 2018 Elite Instructor. “This award is a great excuse to stop and check your own progress, remember every student and class you taught that year, improve your style and add everything you’ve learned because every class will bring a new challenge and teach you something new.”
PADI 2018 Elite Instructors will be automatically entered into the challenge, and can track their progress in the My Account section at the PADI Pros’ Site to see how many certifications they have issued.
